The two of us we make a double rainbow, arched across the sky and sun showers will fall around us but they’ll never fade us- We’re the same spectrum of light The two of us just sliding down a rainbow, down to our pot of gold We call it home To two of us this life’s a double rainbow, sweet as a honeycomb A double rainbow, a double rainbow There will be oppositions and barriers to meet There will be situations that bring us to our feet There will be circumstances- second chances, see... You never know the sweet of the honey till you feel the sting of the bee Like cherry tomatoes go with fresh basil Like a Calamata spread on a garlic bread You got to bake it when we make it Take the olive oil and shake it And the recipe’s great, just like I said... Two of us just riding on a rainbow down to our pot of gold We call it home To two of us this life’s a double rainbow, sweet as a honeycomb There will be pessi-mystics with nothing good to say There will be weathermen dead wrong about the day There will be hurricanes, tornadoes touching down And then they’ll be those lovely moments that open up the clouds Open up the clouds! Open up. Now look at us we built a double rainbow, bridging the heavens to earth We call it home Busy as bees but now we take it easy Smoked up the tree and stole the honeycomb Ooh a double rainbow, double rainbow, double rainbow Rainbow, double rainbow, double-double rain bow-bow Rainbow

Well I’m going fishing with Lauri and Tom Out in the country with my reel and rod Six-string pluckin’ with the breeze and the sun They’re pulling in trout while I’m reeling in songs Sweet memories clear and strong Recalling that day so long Wisconsin summer song- the lazy jam-away Let’s just stay, stay all day Old willow sway, watching the rhythms just move us Castaways gone astray Let’s just stay, feel it in the present time Well I’m gonna plant a garden with Kevin and Cheryl HAPPY GRAVITY DAY! Short season but man, things grow- Wow how they grow! (Just like some kids you know) Nice memories sweet and true Nice memories, thanking you Oh Wisconsin summertime lazy jam-away Let’s just stay, stay all day Old willow sway, blowin’ with the river just moving us Let’s just play, jam all day yeah Let’s just lime and feel it in the present time.

One idea straight from thought One emotion from the heart Simple. Original. Before corruption. Focus in to this point: NOW NOW Now now now now now now now now now now now now NOW! Well “now” is the time that you do what you do And the actions you take make it ALL There is no time like the present time If time really matters at all... If time really matters at all There is no time at all There is no time at all

Root down into soil my friends Humanity has a planet to tend Gardening the future with technology The organic tools are your dreams Plug into the earth again Humanity has a message to send- “Science non-fiction, knowledge not destruction.” Its time for us to pay the rent Outstretched arms are mountains My biceps are the hills Lungs are breathing weather overhead witnessing the thrill of lightning Plugged into the earth, I’m grounded to the core of life through birth Knee-deep in the ocean, I’m miles out at sea Fingers twirling a whirlpool into space DNA through galaxies All this energy is plugged into the earth Plug in.

Hey hear my soul-song Feel my longing to know all Yeah they’ve shown me masks of god but I still think we’re alone High, high above the sky Is there nothing but the sun? Love’s the closest I have come Well that’s good enough for me Falling asleep I’ve seen a pinpoint Contract until its nothing Nothing but the sun? Hey there is no shame in wealth Ethics are your spirit’s health Find your path and walk it true Honor the goodness within you Light through the stained glass windows Shines and colors all the people Bright, illuminating sounds High above the town Ah can you feel it floating? Soars like an eagle So far all of the steeples point to Heaven in the stars (Unsung lyrics for this version:) Are we praying for eternity? Or prey to infinity? Are we praying to divinity? Or just afraid to be free?

Well I’m gonna surf till I’m 85 And then I might go learn how to skydive There are so many natural ways to get high You might as well lift before you fly Fly!

about

Equatorial polyrhythms with 6 and 12-string acoustic and electric guitar, classical strings, synthesizers and some dub effects combined with poetic lyrics about love, life, artistic freedom and some far more abstract ideas.

credits

released March 29, 2019

The tunes on this album were recorded between 2003-2004 in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands and 2004-2005 in Santa Rosa CA. Gear: Some of the basic tracks were programmed with a Boss DR-5 Dr. Rhythm, which is a small-enough, battery-powered box so that I could use it outdoors or while traveling. I think this is where the amount of diversity of tracks came from with this release. The bass, massive synthesizer washes and other strange tones were mostly a Korg Triton Pro88 keyboard. I usually mix in some live percussion toys into each song. The six string acoustic was a 1999 Takamine G-series and my 1989 Mitchell 12-string with my trusty Dean Markley Woody pickup did much of the rest.

about

Jan Dylan Hunter Santa Rosa, California

I play all the instruments on all my recordings unless otherwise noted, my main tools being guitar, keyboard and percussion.

I grew up in the Virgin Islands where I learned steel pan, percussion and clarinet.

Since then living in other states like California exposed me to more culture. Recent trips throughout Europe and the US have also really widened my musicabulary.
-Still taking it all in.
