The rain shone through the headlights

in darkness oak trees looked just like middle-earth ents
their twisted branches point to the north
The rain kept drumming down- a shuffle-beat on the glass
reforming liquid memories from future to past
Ain’t morning and dark canopies of clouds persist
but wait is that a light in the sky?

Up high, above the clouds

I grew up in the Virgin Islands where I learned steel pan, percussion and clarinet.
Since then living in other states like California exposed me to more culture. Recent trips throughout Europe and the US have also really widened my musicabulary.
